HIBC Joins the 10th Anniversary of Guangxi Children's Village

On January 7th, 2018, HIBC’s founder and CEO Miss Xia embarked on a heartfelt journey to the picturesque Guangxi Province, marking a special milestone—the 10th Anniversary of Gratia Children's Village. This was a heartfelt homecoming, built on years of personal commitment and HIBC’s unwavering support to nurturing young lives across China.

Despite the cold, misty weather that blanketed Guangxi Province, the moment we stepped into the Children's Village, we were welcomed with bright smiles and a festive atmosphere. Vibrant balloons, charming decorations, and the warm greetings from the children transformed the gray skies into a celebration filled with color and warmth.

This year’s anniversary had a profound theme: "Return Love with Love," which perfectly echoes the village's decade-long journey of transforming lives with compassion and generosity. The event gathered government officials, dedicated committee members, local supporters, and international guests from as far away as Hong Kong and the United States, all united by their dedication to supporting these inspiring children.

The celebration began with joyful singing performances by the children, whose enthusiasm and genuine happiness immediately filled the hall. In the heartfelt speeches delivered by dignitaries and the village leadership, the core message was clear—this village isn't just a home; it's a nurturing environment where children learn the values of kindness, gratitude, and giving back to society.

Established a decade ago in Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Province, the Children's Village was created as a haven for vulnerable and abandoned children from nearby mountainous regions. These rural areas, characterized by challenging living conditions, often see children abandoned due to poverty and societal preferences. As our CEO shared during her visit, what resonated deeply with her were the countless perfectly healthy girls left behind solely due to society's cultural preference for boys. This heartbreaking reality underscores why HIBC is profoundly committed to supporting initiatives that offer hope, love, and equal opportunities to all children, regardless of their background or gender.

During the visit, our CEO Miss Xia spent several meaningful days at the village, engaging deeply with the children's daily lives. Activities included volunteering on-site, assisting the children with their studies, storytelling sessions, and participating in hands-on art activities.
