Bridging Cultures at HIBC’s Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

As the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me. This timeless verse perfectly captures the spirit of our Mid-Autumn Festival gathering, where we came together to make mooncakes, practice calligraphy, and learn the art of Chinese paper cutting.

A Community of Friends

Nothing brings people closer than shared laughter and conversation—especially when it’s alongside fresh mooncakes and cultural exploration.

Calligraphy Corner

With brushes in hand, guests learned to write elegant Chinese characters—an art form that connects culture, language, and self‐expression.

Mooncake Workshop

Our participants got creative shaping dough and choosing fillings—each mooncake symbolizes unity and the sweet moments we share during this special time of year.

At HIBC, we strive to be a bridge between cultures, creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds to connect, learn, and celebrate traditions. Special thanks to our partner Natural Mandarin, whose team not only guided us through these hands-on activities but is also offering free trial Chinese classes to HIBC clients interested in deepening their cultural experience.

Thank you to everyone who joined and shared in the festive atmosphere. We wish you all a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival—may it bring you unity, warmth, and plenty of reasons to celebrate! We look forward to celebrating more traditions, bridging cultures, and building friendships at HIBC!
